Bronzers for Pale Skin -The Body Shop, Hourglass and Soap and Glory
Every man and his dog has been doing posts on products for pale skin and I considered not posting this but then I thought - I have pale skin and I struggled for years to find a bronzer that suited me so why the hell not share it; even if 500 other bloggers have! Because plenty of us have pale (deathly white skin) bronzers can tend to look too orange or muddy or shimmery or really bloody obvious on our faces. Over the years I've been building my collection and finally I have three that I use on a regular basis. There's a few more I like but these are my top three and the ones I'd recommend to you.
I'll start with the top swatch at that is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Luminous Bronze (£42) this is definitely the most 'shimmery' of the three but that doesn't show necessarily on the skin. As all of the Ambient Lighting range, each product is hand milled which means the marble is different in each pan. I apply this with my Real Techniques Contour Brush in a 3 shape over my face. The shimmer is so finely milled that it just leaves the skin looking healthy and glowing rather than looking like you've fallen face first into a disco ball.
The middle swatch is from The Body Shop and the only piece of makeup I own from there. The Honey Bronzer (£13) was raved about in the summer of 2014 and I caved and bought it. This is so perfect for pale skin as it has cool ashy undertones and not at all orangey. I like to take this on a big kabuki brush and apply it lightly were the sun would natural hit. Finally, the ever popular Soap and Glory Solar Powder (£11). This one is good for both contouring and bronzing, to contour I only use the lighter side and when I'm going for a bronzey look I mix them both together; again with my contour brush.
