NYX haul - matte lip creams, butter gloss, glitter pigments, glitter glue, eye shadow primer, roll on glitter
NYX Matte Lip Cream in - Copenhagen, Cannes and Summer Fruits
Since its release into larger Boots stores, NYX has taken over the blogging world. The price of their products is similar to many drugstore brands but the quality is amazing. I'm trying to extend my makeup kit (you will see a lot of hauls coming up, I've already posted a Sephora Haul) and i'm looking for things I don't really own such as glitters and eyeliners etc. NYX is perfect for those products as the price point is so cheap.
I'll start with lips and the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (£5.50) in Copenhagen and Cannes. They are matte liquid lipsticks (you can see my collection here) in very different shades. Copenhagen is a deep purple shade whereas Cannes is a pinky nude colour. They last so long on the lips, aren't drying at all and they apply streak free. I also picked up a bright colour but this is a NYX Intense Butter Gloss (£5.50) in the shade Summer Fruits. This is slightly stickier as it is a gloss rather than a matte lipstick but again it's not annoying or hard to work with. It applies pretty much opaque so it can be worn as a lipstick, the colour is perfect for summer too.
Moving on to eyes! I picked up the NYX HD Eyeshadow Base (£5.50) I don't have particularly oily eyelids but you can never go wrong with an eye primer. It's nice to have for nights out or when I want my makeup to last from day to night. It dries clear and helps the shadows to not crease or smudge. I then picked up the NYX Roll On Eye Shimmer (£5.50). I chose the shade Mauve Pink as I'm loving the Anastasia Beverley Hills Modern Renaissance Palette and this suits most of the colours. It applies really easily and dispenses enough product. It doesn't cover the whole lid with tonnes of pigment but it's perfect for a finishing touch.
Moving on to glitter and I picked up a glitter essential - NYX Glitter Primer (£8). This is super sticky and the perfect addition to any glittery eye. It comes out of the tube a skin type of colour so can block out veins etc on your lids. I've used it a few times and it really does a good job of sticking the glitter to the lids and lessening fall out. Then I went a bit crazy on the NYX Face and Body Glitters (£5.50), I picked up ice (white), red and copper as they are shades I wear quite often. I love that these have 3 dots in the lid rather than just going straight into the pot, it makes application so much cleaner and easier. You do need quite a lot to make these stand out and I use Mac Fix+ to wet my brushes, this works really well and makes the glitter stick a lot better.

  1. Cannes is honestly one of my favourite soft matte lip creams - gorgeous shade!

  2. The NYX matte lip creams have quickly wormed their way into my staples. I also love their lingerie matte lip paints they are such beautiful shades.

    1. I like the Lingerie matte lips too but I find i'm quite pale for a few of the shades xo

  3. Nyx has become my favourite brand recently, I've not tried out their glitters yet but need to get my hands on some of them. I recommend the setting sprays in matte and dewy finish.

    1. I've heard so much about the setting sprays, they are next on my list!xo
