L'oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation and Glam Bronze Soleil || Review

Anything 'gimicky' and i'm in - this product got me more intrigued than an episode of Hollyoaks! Now, I'd seen this type of product floating around everywhere, Lancome have recently released a foundation one, as has Kiko but the L'oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation and Glam Bronze Soleil has got me more excited than the others. They are both currently on offer for £9.99 (regular price £14.99) and are available from Boots and Superdrug. I decided to try both the foundation and the bronzer and I'm pretty happy with them both.
Firstly, the foundation is a light coverage but can be built up to give a more medium coverage. It's dewy and light in finish which means it's perfect for the summer months. When I asked my boyfriend what he thought he said 'it's more natural and looks like you' so I guess that's a winner. I'd definitely say this is a good holiday base - it's travel friendly (there's no way this is going to smash and break after being thrown around an aeroplane) and it's perfect for a light base in the day and then easy to build up for a night time look. There are 7 shades currently, I am shade 3 (I'm having a love affair with fake tan - you can see my review of my favourite here) and I think it suits me well. I do find that I need to powder over this but that's a regular step for me anyway. It has good longevity and lasting power, I'm having a bad breakout on my chin at the minute and I only had to reapply concealer once in a pretty full on day.
Moving on to the bronzer and controversially my favourite out of the two. This only comes in one shade which is slightly disappointing but with a light hand I feel I can make it work - it also helps that I'm fake tanned up to my eyeballs! Just like with the foundation, the sponge that comes with it is pretty redundant but I apply this lightly using my Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Double Ended Foundation Brush. I use the slanted side and apply this to anywhere the sun would naturally hit. Honestly, you need such a small amount as a little goes a long way. Again, this looks natural and lasts all day on the skin. I'm super happy with this and if you're only going to buy one of these I'd recommend this the most!

  1. Ooohh need to try these, especially the bronze one!
