St Moriz Fast Self Tanning Mousse

St Moritz Fast Self Tanning Mousse

St Moritz Fast Self Tanning Mousse Swatch
I've been a big St Moriz for years now. It was my go to tan during my uni days and my love affair has grown since then. I feel like St Moriz has developed over time and has now stepped away from the days of a patchy, quick fix to a tan. I used to use the Instant Self Tanning Mousse in Medium when I was younger and it really gave that instant, dark tan. Now i'm older and my clubbing days are all but over I wanted a more natural look.
The St Moriz Fast Self Tanning Mousse (£5.99) is my new go to. The name seems fairly familiar but they are differently - honestly. The first main difference is the fact that this has a shade control feature which makes it 100 times easier to apply. As you apply this to the skin (I use a mitt to do this, always!) it applies dark which means you can see exactly where you are applying it. This makes it so much better as you can avoid streaking. The smell is slightly biscuity but probably the least smelly of the fake tans I've tried before.
Before I apply fake tan I like to shave and exfoliate to get a better application. My skin doesn't agree with doing this all on the same day so I tend to shave 24 hours before I want to fake tan then get in the shower the following day, exfoliate my entire body and then apply the tan. There is a guide on the bottle for achieving the perfect shade however I tend to ignore it and where the tan over night then rinse it in the morning. This gives a more natural, deeper tan, I have used it and washed it over after the maximum of 3 hours but I found it didn't last as long. Typically, this tan lasts around a week before it needs exfoliating off - I don't use any moisturisers or gradual tanners alongside this but I imagine if you did it would definitely last longer.

Eyeshadow Palette Collection

Eyeshadow Palette Collection

Eyeshadow Palette Collection Urban Decay Naked Palettes
So it seems eyeshadow palettes are my thing! I just can't help it, when I brand I love release a new eyeshadow palette I have to buy it - I'm looking at you Urban Decay. I decided to do this post because my Foundation Collection went down so well that I thought why not work my way through my whole collection.
Over the past 2 years I've managed to collect all the Naked Palettes, I love them all but the Naked Smoky is my favourite (you can see my review here). I love the pigmentation of these shadows, there is hardly any fall out and they last forever. I'll stay high end and talk about the two Hourglass Modernist Palettes in Colorfield and Exposure. These have slightly more fall out than the Urban Decay ones and can get quite messy but it's worth it for the colours of these palettes. Colourfield is a mix of greens and browns whereas Exposure is a mixture of purples and golds, I love both of them equally and I would recommend them if you're looking for a treat product. Charlotte Tilbury's Dolce Vita was a crazy present from me to me. I love the golden brown smoky eye you can achieve. This is pigmented, long lasting and blends beautiful. I absolutely love the golden glitter shade! The last high end palette is the Mac Amber x9 palette which was a spontaneous purchase, I do like it but it's probably my least favourite. The colours aren't as pigmented as the normal Mac shadows and they have pretty bad fall out too. The shades are really nice though and it's perfect for the summer months. I also have 2 customised Mac palettes but I seem to have misplaced them somewhere!
Moving on to cheaper palettes and I'll start with the Soap and Glory Perfect 10 which is a dupe for the original Urban Decay palette. I did a full review on it which you can see here but basically I love this. I also have a forgotten about palette from Makeup Revolution which I haven't used in ages. It has tonnes of shadows, a mixture of shimmers and mattes and they are really nice quality. The Collection Your Style Your Mood palette is one of my newest additions and I bloody love it. The pinky/purple shades are beautiful and really suit my eyes and skin tone. It's so cheap so if you're looking for a new cheap palette definitely make it this. Finally is my Z palette with 4 Makeup Geek Shadows and again I've done a full review here. These shadows are INCREDIBLE! They are so cheap and they really do rival Mac shadows, I cannot wait to complete my palette and add more MUG shades to my collection.

Hourglass Strobing Powders || Review

Hourglass Strobing Powders and Strobing Sponge
Hourglass Strobing Powders and Strobing Sponge

Hourglass Strobing Powders and Strobing Sponge

Hourglass Strobing Powders and Strobing Sponge
Ah, another Hourglass product that has stolen my heart! The Hourglass Strobing Powders are everywhere and when I heard that Hourglass were making a product for strobing I was so excited. I decided to pick up Brilliant and Euphoric. Brilliant is a pale champagne colour, perfect for paler skin tones where as Euphoric is a more bronzed colour which will be perfect for summer time.
Now I'll start by saying I love these powders, they are beautiful but I wouldn't say they are perfect 'strobing' powders. They are so finely milled that they are perfect all over powders that leave the skin glowing and healthy. I like the fact that they are all over products, it definitely feels like you get more for your money rather than just a highlighting powder.
I did also pick up the Strobing Sponge (£18) and I would 100% say not to buy this, it really isn't worth it. Yes it applies the product nicely but so does any contouring/highlighting/powder brush that you can buy for half the price. You apply the product with the circular end and press it into the high points of the face. Then you spin the brush and blend using the more pointed end. It leaves the skin looking flawless but the same look is achieved using the Zoeve Luxe Highlighting Brush.

Ark Skincare Review

Ark Skincare

Ark Skincare

Ark Skincare
I'm still loving skincare, it's official i'm an addict! I thought I had my routine down and then I tried Ark Skincare. I decided to try a new cleanser and a moisturiser as you can never have too many. The cleanser I went for is Age Protect Skin Clear Cleanser (£24*) and the moisturiser is the Age Protect Skin Vitality Moisturiser (£27*).
The thing I was drawn to is the age protect qualities of Ark skincare. I'm definitely out of that 'teenage skin' phase but I'm still only 23 so I don't particularly have mature skin. These products are aimed at 'teens and 20s' which is perfect for me! The packaging is definitely more sophisticated and more expensive looking than most products aimed at teens and younger skin - something I really like. Younger products can look a bit tacky and cheap and these products are at a higher price point which the packaging matches. The moisturiser is dispensed by pressing the top down and the product comes out of a little hole.
I have been using the products daily for around 2 weeks now and I like them. I use the cleanser in a morning rather than at night. It's more of a refreshing face wash than a cleanser which I would rely on to remove makeup. If you cleanse your skin first and then use this as a second cleanse at night then it would be fine but I don't tend to do that. The moisturiser is good for both night and day but I think I'm going to keep to night time as I'm pretty happy with my daily moisturiser - I'm actually going to keep this at my boyfriends so I don't have to cart my skincare with me! They do have a pretty strong smell so if you have fragrance sensitive skin I would recommend trying a sample first. I quite like the smell, it reminds me of spa like products which adds to a relaxing, pamper routine. The smell reflects the ingredients as there is definitely a hint of the White Tea especially in the moisturiser.
You can buy Ark Skincare from Beauty Expert which is like a beauty bloggers heaven. It is definitely becoming my favourite website to browse! I'm interested in trying the Ark De-Stress Serum next, hopefully I'll enjoy it as much as these.

Kylie Jenner Lipgloss || Review **GIVEAWAY CLOSED**

Kylie Jenner Kylie Cosmetics Lipgloss in Literally

Kylie Jenner Kylie Cosmetics Lipgloss in Literally Swatches
So,  The Lip Kits are amazing amazing and I'll definitely be trying to get my hands on a few more when they're next available but for now I want to talk about Kylie's new gloss in the shade Literally. I've seen tonnes of reviews about the lipkits (you can see mine here) but I haven't seen too many about the glosses.
I'll start with price and shipping etc before I get into the review. Each shade is $15 which is roughly £10.60 and shipping cost $14.95 bringing it to a grand total of $29.95 (£21.20). Shipping is extortionate and I know it's put a few people off ordering any. I didn't get any customs charges thankfully but I didn't order a huge amount. I ordered my lipgloss on the first release date which was 1st April and it came on the 9th which really isn't bad at all. I was expecting at least 2 maybe even 3 weeks so was pleasantly surprised when the post man knocked on the door with the infamous box.
There are 3 shades Like, Literally and So Cute I originally had So Cute and Literally in my basket but So Cute had sold out before I managed to process the order. Literally is a slightly brown nude and it is so pigmented. It looks just like a sheeny lipstick when it's applied, it's definitely not just a gloss to apply over a lipstick shade.
It isn't sticky at all and it applies nicely to the lips. I've worn it both on its own and on top of a lipstick and I like the way it looks every time. I'm glad I chose a darker shade as it makes it more versatile but the lighter shades would also look nice.

Kylie Lip Kit - Candy K|| Review and Swatches

Kylie Lip Kit Candy K Review and Swatches

Kylie Lip Kit Candy K Review and Swatches

Kylie Lip Kit Candy K Review and Swatches

Kylie Lip Kit Candy K Review and Swatches
You're probably sick of these posts, nearly every blogger has reviewed the Kylie Jenner Lip Kits but what the heck I thought I'd join the hype and add my review to the mix. Everyone has different experiences with them so I thought i'd share mine. First off I'll start with the product and what I think of it and then I'll move on to price and shipping etc.
The colour I picked up was Candy K which is a nudey pink and each kit comes with a lip liner and a lipstick. All the shades are matte and that they definitely are. However, they are the least drying liquid lipsticks I've ever tried (you can see my liquid lipstick collection post here). They dry within a minute and then they do not move. They look as if they would be quite drying as it seems to highlight the lines on my lips but I actually really like that look. I've tried it both without a lip balm underneath and also with one and it feels nice either way.
The lip liner is literally the creamiest thing I have ever used. I was actually shocked the first time I applied it. It is hugely pigmented and would look nice all over the lips, it doesn't drag at all! The two products match perfectly but with it being nude it would also look nice with a different nude over the top! I just did a post about my favourite lip liners and this would definitely be in the top 5!
Moving on to prices, shipping and customs! The lip kits cost $29 which equates to £20 - pretty good considering a Mac lipstick is £15.50 and a lip liner is £12 (£27.50 altogether). The only thing that lets these kits down is the shipping which is $14.95 (£10) which means you're looking at £30 for the whole thing. I have ordered twice from Kylie Cosmetics and I haven't been charged customs on either order but I know people who have. For £30 I think these kits are definitely worth it if you are charged with a customs fee it can make it a lot more expensive! I didn't wait too long for delivery - 10 days for the first and 11 for the second parcel which is pretty darn good.
I will definitely be purchasing different shades in the future, hopefully it will become easier for people to buy these in the future too. I have a review of the lip gloss coming soon so keep you're eyes peeled for that! There's also a giveaway coming up on Wednesday maybe and this post might be a slight hint into the prize!
