Valentines Day Makeup

Valentines Makeup ft Hourglass, Urban Decay and Charlotte Tilbury

Valentines Makeup ft Hourglass, Urban Decay and Charlotte Tilbury
Valentines Makeup

Whether you're a fan of Valentine's Day or not, no beauty lover can deny how nice they feel when their makeup is 'on fleek'! For me, Valentines is all about girly looks and rose gold hues, I just love girly makeup for a change and Valentine's day/weekend is the perfect excuse to rock one. Personally, I'm going away this Valentines which is nice (i'll update this with a picture of my makeup after the weekend) so i've had to pre-pack my makeup before the big day.
For foundation, I decided on Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Foundation because I love the coverage and finish. Concealer and contour is my regular Urban Decay Naked Skin and my Anastasia Beverley Hills Contour Palette which isn't particularly Valentines themed so I didn't bother including it. For blush and bronzer I opted for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit (reviewed here) mainly because it's beautiful but also because i've used nothing else since Christmas day - true story! Highlight is another Hourglass product, this time in the form of their new Strobing Powders in Brilliant. This gives a beautiful, natural glow that makes you look like you're lit from within,
Brows again are my normal Hourglass offering but I decided to shop my stash for eyes! When I decided to create a Valentines look this was the only palette I thought of - Urban Decay Naked 3. It's so pretty and girly and full of rose gold tones for a perfect smoky eye. There's so many options with this palette, i'm thinking of Dust, Limit and Buzz or Limit and Factory for a more coopery look or Nooner, Liar and Factory. Finally, for lips i've gone for a classic favourite of mine - Charlotte Tilbury's Glastonberry which is a gorgeous deep purple shade. It'll last all night and when used with a lip liner doesn't bleed or feel drying on the lips! Update - I switched to Hourglass Icon lipstick because who doesn't love a red on Valentines and the purple didn't look right!
