Updated Spring Makeup

Now the weather is getting (slightly) warmer,  I think it's about time to update my makeup. Gone are the heavy duty foundations and the berry lips (sad face). Spring time is when dewy, light bases and bright pinks are thrown on our faces and embraced by makeup lovers all around. There's a mixture of high end and drugstore products but there's plenty of offerings in both price ranges.

First up, base! Hourglass Illusion Tinted Moisturiser is all kinds of dewy goodness. It feels light and airy on the skin but provides a pretty decent, full coverage (win win) paired with a good primer this will last all day! Concealer is a must if you're going for a lighter base and my choice is Mac's Pro Long Wear Concealer in NC15, to brighten your complexion but conceal your blemishes go for one shade lighter (any more and you'll draw too much attention to your blemishes).

I'm taking a step out of my comfort zone in the eye department this spring, Hourglass Modernist Eye Palette in Colorfield is full of golds, browns and greens. This is perfect for day and night and the greens make blue eyes pop. Highlighter comes in the form of Nars Illuminator in Copacobana. It's dewy, light and with just the right amount of shimmer.

This Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit is an essential for Kim K fans, it's easy to use and suits pale skin tones like mine. There's a handy guide of where to apply each shade which means you can't go far wrong. Blusher moves from powder textures to cream formulas, this Bourjois Blush Exclusif adapts to your own skin which gives a perfect, natural flush. Finally, the Too Face Melted Lipsticks in Melted Fuchsia and Melted Coral add the right amount of colour to lips without being to in your face.
