Hourglass Cosmetics Haul

If you've read my latest post then you would know all about my makeover at Hourglass Cosmetics in John Lewis. Obviously, all you beauty bloggers will know you can't go and have your makeup done at a counter and leave empty handed (well I definitely can't!) I did go a little crazy, four products doesn't seem like a lot but Hourglass is quite pricey...
Firstly, I bought Veil Mineral Primer (£52) I have a sample of this and it's literally a game changer. My makeup lasts so so so much longer when I use this. My mum likens it to putting Angel Delight on your face, the texture is so soothing and soft; it's the perfect base for applying makeup to. Next up is the Illusion Tinted Moisturiser (£45). I'd been eyeing up the Nars Tinted Moisturiser but didn't want to buy it online without testing the coverage. Megan suggested trying this and i'm in love. The coverage is amazing, you can see from my instagram selfies. Yesterday I put my beloved Estee Lauder Double Wear on because I was only popping to the shops and it just didn't look as flawless as the Tinted Moisturiser.
Moving on to eyes now and I picked up another Modernist Eye Palette, this time in the shade Exposure (£56). I already own Colorfield (the green one) so I wanted to try something at the other end of the spectrum and this is that. The look Megan created was stunning and I knew I had to buy it. The colours are so versatile, it is definitely suitable for both day and night wear. Alongside the palette, I also picked up the No 4 Crease Eyeshadow Brush (£22) again Megan used this on me and I loved it. I've wanted to pick up another Mac 217 brush for blending but this is more of an all rounder. It's super soft and the perfect addition to a smoky eye lovers collection.
Have you tried Hourglass products? Which are your favourites?
