The Soap and Glory Brow Archery Pencil - £10
I've had a love hate relationship with my brows for so long. Firstly they were too bushy, then to thin, then bushy and thin in equal measure, then to straight, to arched, you catch my drift. So that means that finding good brow products is a must for me, I have done so many posts on brow products that I could probably be a professional 'brow blogger' but hopefully you wont mind just one more.

The Soap and Glory Brow Archery Pencil is raved about in the blogosphere everywhere. So many people I know love this so I knew I had to give it a try. Leaving my beloved Elf Brow Kit was pretty tough I have to admit and i'm not fully commited to this just yet but i'm getting there. First off the felt nib is pretty nifty, it's quite wet which means you need to be really light on your strokes to achieve a natural look. I start by filling in the front by taking the nib lightly in the direction of hair growth, after I've done the front I brush it through with a spoolie. I then continue filling in the rest of the brow with the nib, following the direction of hair growth. Again, once that's finished I brush through it for a more natural look.

Then we move on to the more waxy side and i'm really not sure what this is about. I watched a video on how to apply this and realised that it was used to define the brows. I tried this underneath the brow to define the arch but there is hardly any colour payoff! I basically just use this to outline to brow and create the shape to fill in the brow. I imagine this would be really useful if you're trying to achieve thicker, fuller, more defined brows.

As you can see from the picture, this really does fill your brows and make them look fuller and less sparse. I really like this product even if it is just for the nib side. I set this with Benefits Gimmi Brow (reviewed here) and find that it lasts all day, however someone said that the nib dries out really quickly so fingers crossed it lasts for a while. For £10 i'm not sure i'll be purchasing this again, there are some much more raved about products for a few pounds more that I think i'll be trying next instead.

  1. Really great review Megan. Think I give this a miss! I actually use a Natural Collection matte eye shadow to fill in my brows, dead cheap and works a treat! x

    1. Thanks Emily, I've just bought one of those so I might give it a try :) xx

  2. I've really been wanting to try more brow products lately & this has been on my wish list for a while, I'm sure when I can justify spending £10 on one product I'll be picking this up to try myself!

    1. Yeah, it's definitely worth a try but it's not my favourite. Anastasia Brow Wiz is next on my list xx

  3. I'm also looking for new brow products to try in the hope of finding a cheaper alternative to my HD Brow palette! Might just have to give this a try, it looks like it does a brilliant job of filling in brows which is exactly what I need because mine are so fair and thin.

    1. Yeah, the HD brow palette is pretty expensive. It does do a really good job, I've been using it every day :) xx
