Top 5 A/W Lipsticks

(L-R//Rimmel Apocalips - Big Bang, Rimmel Kate Moss - 107 Wine, Rimmel Moisture Renew - Notting Hill Nude, NYC Ultra Last Lipwear - Berry Rich and Miss Sporty - 250 Cabaret)

In the transition between Summer and Autumn, I often find myself buying more 'Autumnal' lipstick shades so I decided to share with you my top 5 colours. I love dark, plum shades as I think they suit my pale skin, they also look lovely with either neutral eyes or bold eyes so they work perfectly for day and night.

So this isn't technically a lipstick but in my opinion it does the same job so i'm going to include this. Im currently loving having red lips at the minute and this is the perfect red. It isn't too glossy or too matte, just a perfect 'wet look' lipstick. This shade looks gorgeous with a flick of eyeliner, a 'breton' top and some black skinnies. This is amazingly pigmented and the staying power of this is brilliant, perfect for nights out as you don't have to worry about topping this up.

This is the newest addition to my A/W lipsticks and I love it, i've wanted it for a while but decided now was the perfect time. It's a gorgeous reddy, plum colour that looks perfect with a smokey eye. This is matte lipstick so it lasts for a long time, I don't find this as drying as other matte lipsticks i've tried but i'd still suggest wearing a lip balm underneath just in case. I also weirdly really like the smell of this ha! I'm looking forward to trying some more colours in this range so if you have any recommendations let me know.

Again, another new addition but one that has easily become one of my favourites. I bought this from Fragrance direct for 99p (unfortunately the don't have the shade anymore) after hearing Lily Pebbles talk about this, I didn't have any nude lipsticks in my collection so this seemed the perfect choice. The range of this shade is 'moisture renew' and they really are moisturising, the colour isn't as long lasting as the Kate Moss range but they still last a good few hours. This is an amazing 'no makeup' shade and is perfect for daily wear. I also want to try the shades electric plum and sloane square.

Another 99p Fragrance Direct bargain! Since buying this i've been wearing it none stop. I love purpley, berry shades but sometimes find that they aren't the most suitable for day wear. However, this shade is perfect. It's a kind of pink plum colour that can be built up for a more 'vampy' look or worn with one layer for the perfect A/W daily colour. This is as long lasting as the Rimmel Moisture renew lipstick and it doesn't leave you with that horrible stain around the lips as it wears off.

I've had this lipstick for around a year now and you definitely have to be confident to wear this during the day as it's a really dark, blackcurrent shade. When I wear this in the day I usually have basic face and eyes as otherwise the lips look too much and it looks especially lovely with your hair in a top knot. I love the formula of these lipsticks and think they are really pigmented and long lasting, the smell is delicious too. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if this shade is still available but definitely check out Miss Sporty's range for good, affordable lipsticks.

Here are the swatches of all the lipsticks in natural light. As you can see the bottom shade is the darkest and the top shade is definitely the brightest but I think both of these are perfect A/W shades.

Have you tried any of these lipsticks? Which lipsticks do you love?
