Style icon #01

Bonjour readers!
I'm still trying to see what works for my blog and readers and what doesn't so i've decided to try a different post. Basically, once a week (ish) i will choose a 'style icon' i will post pictures of their outfits then try and find similar outfits for a bargain price :)!

My first style icon is Kimberley Walsh. I've been a big girls aloud fan forever and love all the girls however Kimberley's in my opinion is the best to imitate as has such a womanly figure. I love how she wears items that flaunt her body perfectly.

Outfit 1

Denim Jacket - New Look
Black Basic Top - New Look
 Pink Jean/trousers - H&M
    Beige Wedges  -Miss Guided

This outfit is so simple to re create, the jeans are lovely and the colour really brightens up a winters day. I love the beige wedges and they glam up this outfit to take it from day to night. The basic top and denim jacket makes this outfit suitable for general day to day wear.

Polo Neck top - Boohoo
Skirt- Boohoo
Tights - New Look
Wedges - Miss Guided

This outfit is lovely for a night out with the girls for a meal or drinks in a bar. If i decided to wear this to go clubbing i would probably change the top for a polo neck crop top and team it with a statement necklace to add a touch of detail to the outfit. Also, how beautiful are these shoes?! They would look lovely with the tights and skirt. Tights are perfect for nights out at the minute, i would really wear this outfit.

Dress - New Look
Cardigan - New Look (sale)
Tights - New Look
Shoes - New Look

Seeing as Kimberly wore this outfit to an opening of New Look i decided i would pay homage to the lovely place itself. The dress has such lovely floral detail on it that makes it a bit different from the ordinary LBD, i also like the mesh inset which adds a bit of sexiness to the dress. The fit is perfect for somebody with Kimberly's figure and the little cardigan is a perfect cover up for those who hate their arms. I think in the picture she has high shoes on however i really really like these flats, the rose detail is lovely. I would wear this outfit for an interview and if i was meeting my friends for lunch or whatever i would add a burgundy blazer instead of the cardigan to add a pop of colour.

What do you think of Kimberly's style? Who is your favourite Girls Aloud girl?xo

New Look - Jeans

Hello my lovely readers :)!
I hope you've all had a lovely time in the snow, however i am pleased it has disappeared now. Anyway, lets get down to business...
I'm not really a jeans person and i hardly ever wear them, however i found myself scrolling through New Looks website (procrastinating, as usual) and instead of skipping the jeans section i thought i'd sneak a little look. I couldn't believe the different styles they had. I liked so many that i thought i'd do a little post on my favourites.

I love the colour of these jeans and think that these would look lovely in the spring/summer teamed with a pastel coloured top. The next ones are perfect for this time of year worn with ankle boots and a cosy jumper. These would look perfect for a day at uni or to the cinema or lunch out etc. The next ones are lovely! The colour is lush, i think this pale pink colour is going to be massive in spring/summer and would look so nice with some gold coloured flip flops (i'm in a really summery mood can you tell?). Fourthly are some ripped boyfriend jeans, now boyfriend jeans are the in jeans for spring and ripped boyfriend jeans are extra style points! These are so relaxed and can be worn for so many day time occasions but would also look nice for a evening bbq and nights in the beer garden! And finally, these are my favourite of the lot, i love love love acid wash at the minute and these jeans are actually making me excited! I like the ripped knee and the turn ups too, i'm sure i will be buying these very soon!

Where do you like to wear your jeans? Which are your favourite?xo

January favourites

Hello lovely people :)!
So i managed to go home for the weekend and pick up my memory card reader yeyyyy! However, on Wednesday i woke up with a cold sore so unfortunately i haven't managed to take any outfit posts plus the fact that my first week back at uni is killing me already ha! I thought i'd share with you my favourite products from January so here goes...

NYC smooth skin primer - £2.50
Heel Genius Soap and Glory*
Garnier BB Cream Light - £7 maybe

Firstly i've just discovered the NYC brand. I've noticed it on several blogs but i've never actually tried it. The other day i walked into my newly revamped superdrug to find that they now stocked NYC, i had a quick look and was drawn to this primer instantly. I've been after a new primer for quite a while but im trying to save for a holiday so didn't want to spend too much on a new product i hadn't heard too much about. At £2.50 i thought why not and i'm so so so glad i did. Honestly, how have i survived before without this. On Friday i did my makeup at 9 o clock in the morning and hand on heart my makeup was still on just as it was in the morning at 9 o clock at night. I genuinely cannot recommend this product enough. I will be going back and trying more NYC products soon.

Oh good old Soap & Glory! This has to be my favourite product from the Best of all gift bag i received at Christmas, in fact i've nearly ran out already. I use this everyday after a shower and it makes me feel so much better. The scent is lovely as is all Soap & Glory products but i've also seen a huge improvement in how smooth my feet feel already. When this product runs out i will definitely be buying so more. I've even got my boyfriend in to it and he asked my to pick up some up next time i'm in Boots, ha!

(Sorry for the quality, i was in a little bit of a rush)

Garnier BB cream, what can i say? My saviour for early morning lectures and lazy days. I tend to use my BB cream when i'm in uni for an hour or i'm just hanging around the flat with my friends and i love it. I feel like it doesn't clog my skin up and it give me a nice clear complexion. Teamed with the NYC primer this BB cream lasts forever and is perfect if you can't be bothered to re touch your make up. This semester i have a 9:15 lecture on a Thursday and student night is a Wednesday so this is honestly perfect for giving me the appearance of brighter skin whist inside im dying :(.

Super Drug - 99p I have the conditioner too but couldn't find a picture.
I have unintentionally lasted around 27 days in the no heat challenge!! I realised about a week ago that i hadn't used any heat on my hair since Christmas and it is feeling slightly better so i've decided to see if i can carry on for 100 days. I've recently just started swimming and i really don't want to damage my hair so i've been looking around for a good shampoo and conditioner when i found this in Super Drug. The smell is beautiful, i could honestly eat it (please don't try that) it is for dry and damaged hair and for the past few weeks since i've been using it my hair is feeling super soft. I'd love my hair to be in lovely condition to help it grow, i will keep you informed on the progress!

What products have you been loving in January?
